Product Overview
The TDP-70 is a carousel foam cutting machine that slices multiple PU foam blocks in one continuous pass. Blocks are loaded on a rotary disk table, the table turns at 0–3.5 r/min, and a 10000 mm band knife slices them horizontally into sheets from 2 mm to 150 mm thick.
The key design idea is that the knife never retracts. On a conventional single-block horizontal slicer, the carriage returns between cuts and the operator waits while the knife travels back. On the TDP-70 the round table keeps turning, so slicing continues block after block and the only stop is for loading and unloading. Thickness is set on a PLC touch screen, the table drive uses variable frequency speed control, and a suction device holds the blocks steady during cutting.

The bottleneck on a horizontal splitting machine is rarely the cut itself; it is the time around the cut. A single-block machine spends part of every cycle with the knife returning, the block being removed and the next block being loaded. The carousel removes most of that dead time by letting several blocks sit on the table at once and be presented to the knife in sequence.
The cutting action is continuous, so the time normally lost to the return stroke is converted into production time.
Several standard PU blocks can be placed on the 2000 × 3000 mm table for one-time slicing.
Operators unload finished sheets and reload blocks while the table continues to turn, instead of waiting for a full cycle.
For a plant running the same block size day after day, this is the difference between a machine that matches the output of the cutting department and one that becomes the constraint. The gain is not a claimed percentage: it depends on how many blocks fit on the table, the target sheet thickness and how quickly the crew can load and unload. What the carousel guarantees is that the knife is cutting for a larger share of the shift.

Loading. Blocks are placed on the rotary disk table within the 2000 × 3000 mm cutting area. They should be seated flat and spaced so the knife can pass cleanly between them; a block that overlaps the cutting path of another will produce a jam rather than a sheet.
Thickness setting. The PLC touch screen sets the cutting thickness within the 2–150 mm range. Because the setting is digital, returning to a previous product thickness is a matter of entering the number rather than re-adjusting a mechanical hand-wheel.
Rotation and cutting. The table is driven through variable frequency control at 0–3.5 r/min. The speed is matched to the foam density and the sheet thickness: a slower rotation gives the knife more time in the material, which suits dense foam or thin sheet, while a faster rotation suits thicker, softer product. The 10000 mm band knife runs continuously, so there is no return stroke between blocks.
Suction hold. A suction device holds the blocks against the table during cutting. Foam is light and compressible, so without a hold the blade can push a block forward or lift it slightly, producing a sheet that is thin at one edge or marked on the surface.

The table above is the standard TDP-70 configuration. Cutting size and cutting height define the block envelope, cutting thickness defines the product range, and the motor power, weight and 8000 × 7000 mm footprint define the site requirements. Because the table rotates, the practical floor space needed is larger than the rectangular footprint alone suggests.
The TDP-70 is a bulk slicing station. It sits between block storage and the sheet conversion processes: lamination, die cutting, contour cutting or simple cutting and packing. Its natural role is to feed a department that consumes sheets in volume, rather than to make a small number of special thicknesses.
Upstream, the machine needs a steady supply of blocks of a consistent size and a loading method that keeps the table stocked without interrupting the cut. Downstream, the sheet flow should be able to keep up with the slicing rate; if the lamination line or the die cutter is slower than the carousel, the benefit of continuous cutting is lost in sheet stacking.
In plants that also run a precision thin-sheet slicer, the two machines divide the work rather than compete. The carousel handles volume slicing across the 2–150 mm range, and the precision machine handles thin laminating sheet where a tighter tolerance is required. Splitting the product mix this way keeps each machine working in the range it was designed for.
The machine is used on flexible polyurethane block foam. Typical applications are mattress and furniture foam production, where blocks are sliced into layers for mattress construction and sofa cushions; foam processing plants that supply sheets to lamination and die cutting; and packaging foam conversion, where blocks are cut into standard sheets for protective inserts and packaging material.
Foam density and block quality affect the cutting setup. Softer, lower-density foam needs a sharper knife and a moderate table speed to avoid compressing the surface. Denser foam tolerates a higher cutting force but benefits from a slower rotation so the knife can clear the material cleanly. Block flatness also matters: a block with a curved or damaged base will rock on the table, and no thickness setting can compensate for a block that is not seated.
Recording the table speed, thickness and knife condition for each product makes the setup repeatable. When the same job returns to the line, the operator can start from a known setting instead of experimenting on production material.

Five figures decide whether the standard TDP-70 fits a production plan:
Buyers should also confirm how blocks are brought to the machine and how sheets are removed. A carousel only delivers its advantage when loading and unloading keep pace with the table, so the handling method is part of the selection, not an afterthought.

A single-block horizontal slicer is simpler and has a smaller footprint, and it is a reasonable choice for low volume or for a product mix with frequent thickness changes. The carousel is the better fit when the plant runs a steady block size and needs volume, because its advantage comes from continuous cutting rather than from a higher cutting speed.
The trade-off is floor space and handling. The rotary table needs clearance around it, and the crew has to be organized to load and unload while the table turns. In exchange, the knife stays in the material instead of returning between blocks, and several blocks can be processed in one pass.
The decision should be based on the actual shift pattern: how many blocks per shift, how many different thicknesses, and how much space is available. A plant that changes thickness several times a day may prefer the flexibility of a single-block machine, while a plant running one or two thicknesses at volume will get more from the carousel.
The main motor is 22 kW, and the machine weighs 4000 kg with an 8000 × 7000 × 2400 mm overall dimension. Because the table rotates, the working area is effectively circular, and the layout must leave clearance for the table, for block loading and for sheet removal. A machine placed too close to a wall or to another line will lose the access that makes continuous loading possible.
The floor must be level and able to carry the machine plus the blocks on the table. A rotary table that is out of level will produce sheets that vary in thickness around the table, so the foundation and leveling are part of the cutting accuracy, not just the installation. The machine should be anchored and kept clear of vibrating equipment.
The site needs a dedicated supply sized for the 22 kW load with correct earthing and a local isolator. Foam dust should be controlled around the knife and the table; the electrical cabinet should stay closed and filtered, and the area should be cleaned at the end of each shift.

Installation starts with the foundation and the leveling of the rotary table, followed by the band knife and its guides. The table level and the knife alignment together decide whether sheets are parallel: a table that is out of level or a knife that is not square to the table will cut a taper that no thickness setting can correct.
Commissioning then runs trial blocks at several thicknesses, with the table speed set for each. Sheets are measured at several points around their perimeter, not only along one edge, because a carousel can produce a sheet that is correct at one side of the table and wrong at the other if the table or the knife is out of adjustment.
Operator training covers loading blocks within the cutting area, setting thickness and table speed, checking the knife and the suction before a run, and organizing loading and unloading so the table is never left idle. Training also covers the safe stop procedure and the lockout steps for clearing a jammed block or a damaged knife, which are the two situations most likely to cause injury or machine damage if handled informally.
The band knife, the rotary table and the suction system are the three areas that decide long-term performance. The knife should be checked every shift for chips and buildup; a dull or damaged knife compresses the foam and leaves a rough sheet. The table surface should be cleaned so blocks seat flat, and the suction should be confirmed on a test block before production starts.
Spare parts worth holding are band knives, knife guide components, suction seals and filter elements. The band knife is the consumable that most directly affects sheet quality, so it should be replaced on condition rather than run until the sheets are visibly poor.
Each machine is assembled, aligned and run before shipment. Inspection covers the frame and rotary table, the band knife and guides, the table drive and variable frequency control, the PLC and touch screen, the suction system, the electrical cabinet and the safety guarding. The machine carries CE certification, and the documentation set includes the operation manual, electrical diagrams and the inspection record.
At the buyer's site, the acceptance test is a run across the thickness range with measurements taken around the table. A set of sheets that measures consistently at every position confirms that the table is level, the knife is aligned and the feed is stable. Repeating the same test after any knife change or table adjustment keeps the process under control.

Packaging is confirmed with each order, because the machine is 4000 kg with an 8000 × 7000 mm footprint and the shipping method affects how the frame and the rotary table are braced. The band knife, the table drive, the control panel and the electrical cabinet are protected for transport, and the frame is secured for lifting.
Delivery time is 45 working days after downpayment. Payment terms are L/C or T/T, the minimum order quantity is one set, and price is quoted on inquiry because the configuration and the destination affect the final figure. Supply ability is 3 sets per season. Buyers should confirm the block size, the target thickness range and the available floor space at the quotation stage, so the layout and the handling method are planned before the machine arrives.
Multiple PU foam blocks can be loaded on the rotary table and sliced in one continuous pass. The knife does not retract between blocks, so the machine spends a larger share of the shift cutting instead of waiting.
