The TDPA-2300 is a rotary peeling machine that turns a sponge block or cylindrical foam roll into continuous thin sheet. Cutting thickness is entered on a CNC touch screen from 1 mm to 30 mm, the peeling head runs at 0-130 m/min, and the machine holds ±0.08 mm on sheets between 1 mm and 3 mm. It peels rolls from 20 mm to 1500 mm in diameter and up to 3000 mm in width, with an 8.69 kW drive, 2000 kg machine weight and 5000*2500*2000 mm footprint.
The machine is built for plants that peel the same foam grade into the same thickness all shift. Output is not set by the top spindle speed but by how little time is lost between rolls: loading, chucking, starting the pass and taking the sheet off. The TDPA-2300 keeps the peeling head engaged, so the operator's time goes to material handling instead of setup, and the sheet leaves the blade without cutting marks.

Thickness is typed on the touch screen. No gear, no gauge block and no mechanical changeover between sizes.
The servo feed and the guide on the peeling head hold tolerance on the 1-3 mm range where furniture buyers check hardest.
Speed is set per foam grade, so soft foam runs slower and high-density foam runs at the top of the range.

Because the thickness setting is digital, a batch of one size runs from the first roll to the last without a setup step in between. The operator spends the shift on loading and stacking, which is where the output actually comes from.
Peeling speed is not the same thing as output. The blade can run at 130 m/min only if the sheet can be taken away at that rate, so the usable speed depends on roll diameter, sheet width and how fast the operator can stack. On a 1500 mm roll the surface speed at the blade is what matters, which is why a large roll peels faster in metres than a small one at the same spindle setting.
The practical limit is heat and dust. A sheet peeled at the top of the range builds static and lifts dust from the foam surface, so the take-off table and the extraction point need to be clear. On soft low-density foam, a lower speed gives a flatter face than a high speed with a dull blade.
Tolerance is set by the guide, not the speed. The ±0.08 mm figure applies to 1-3 mm sheet and is held by the servo feed on the peeling head. Once the guide shows play, the tolerance opens up on thin sheet first, long before the surface looks rough.

| Symptom | Likely cause | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Sheet thicker at one end | Roll not centred on the chuck | Re-chuck and check the roll run-out before the pass |
| Thickness drifts during a roll | Knife dulling or guide play | Check the edge, reset the guide clearance |
| Torn or chattered cut face | Feed speed too high for the foam grade | Lower the speed setting for soft or low-density foam |
| Visible marks on the sheet | Blade vibration or loose band tension | Retension the blade, check the drive pulley |
| Sheets stick and tear on take-off | Static and foam dust on the table | Clean the table, check dust extraction |
| Machine alarms at start | Thickness set outside the 1-30 mm window | Re-enter the value inside the working range |
Most thickness complaints come from the first metre of a roll. Check that metre before running the rest of the batch, and one rejected sheet replaces half a shift of scrap.
Plan the shift by thickness. Group all rolls of one thickness into one run so the touch screen setting is entered once, and keep the next rolls staged at table height so the change takes seconds rather than minutes.
Keep one log per batch: foam grade, roll diameter, thickness setting, speed, blade hours and the thickness check from the first metre. When a buyer reports a thin comfort layer, the log shows whether the cause was the roll, the setting or the edge.
Foam behaves differently in a cold workshop than in a warm one. A setting made early in the morning can peel a slightly different sheet after the hall warms up, so check the first sheet after any temperature change and note it in the log.

The blade is a consumable and the guide is the part that decides whether the blade lasts. Check the edge at the start of each shift, keep the guide clear of foam dust, and follow the sharpening interval for the foam grade rather than for the calendar. A dull blade compresses the foam before it cuts, and the sheet comes out with a rounded, glazed edge that no setting will correct.
The drive and the peeling head need little more than clean lubrication and a check for play. Most of the tolerance complaints we see trace back to a guide that was re-set by feel instead of with a gauge, so keep the set-up values in the machine file and re-check them after any blade change.

The machine is shipped in an export plywood case with the peeling head blocked, the touch screen protected and the blade packed separately. Overall machine size is 5000*2500*2000 mm at 2000 kg, so confirm the container plan and the door width at the destination before booking.
Delivery is 45 working days after downpayment, payment by L/C or T/T, and installation guidance plus remote commissioning support are included. Spare blades, guide parts and the common wear items can be shipped with the machine so the first year does not depend on an air freight order.

A: 1 mm to 30 mm, entered on the CNC touch screen, with ±0.08 mm tolerance held on 1-3 mm sheet.
A: 0-130 m/min, set per foam grade. Soft low-density foam runs slower, high-density PU can run near the top of the range.
A: Yes. Cutting diameter is 20-1500 mm and cutting width is 500-3000 mm, which covers cylindrical rolls, blocks and long foam buns.
A: No. The thickness is typed on the screen, so a change between sizes takes one setting and one test sheet.

Tell us the foam type, roll or block size, target sheet thickness and expected output per shift. We will confirm the TDPA-2300 configuration, quote the machine and share the delivery schedule. Spare blades, guides and remote commissioning support are available with every order.
