The TDB-2200 is a horizontal slicer for plants that cut many thicknesses from the same block. The range runs from 0.5 mm to 70 mm with ±0.05 mm tolerance on 0.5-2 mm sheet, cutting area is 3000*2200*1250 mm, main drive is 23 kW, machine weight is 6000 kg and overall size is 8300*6200*2500 mm.
A converter's problem is not the top thickness, it is the number of thicknesses. Every different sheet size is a different setting, and every setting change is a chance to make scrap. The TDB-2200 is designed so the change is a setting on the machine rather than a rebuild of it, and the block stays on the table while the order changes.
Thin backing sheet and thick padding come off the same block without a machine change.
Long blocks are sliced end to end, so a batch of one thickness runs uninterrupted.
The tolerance is held at 0.5-2 mm, where conversion buyers measure hardest.
The change is a setting, not a rebuild, which is why short runs of different thicknesses can follow each other on the same block instead of waiting for a setup slot.
The losses in foam conversion are usually not in the cut itself. They come from a block that was not square, a setting that was not recorded, or a sheet that was folded at take-off. Each of those turns a good block into second-grade stock, and on thin sheet the loss is invisible until the buyer measures it.
Recording the setting is the cheapest control available. If the batch log holds the foam grade, density, thickness, blade hours and the sample measurement, a repeat order starts from a known point instead of a guess. The same log tells you when a thickness complaint is a blade problem rather than a machine problem.
Handling matters more as the sheet gets thinner. A 0.5 mm sheet that is folded over the edge of a pallet is scrap, and no machine setting recovers it. Pallets at table height, a wide take-off route and a stack that stays flat are part of the process, not an afterthought.

| Symptom | Likely cause | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Sheet thickness varies across the width | Block not square to the feed line | Trim the block, re-set it against the fence and re-check the first sheet |
| Wavy or rippled sheet edge | Blade dulling or low blade tension | Check the edge, re-tension or change the blade |
| Blade marks on the cut face | Feed speed too high for the foam grade | Reduce the feed rate for soft or low-density foam |
| Sheet tears at the thin end of the range | 0.5-2 mm cut taken at high feed speed | Slow the feed for thin sheet and check the blade edge |
| Block creeps during the pass | Block not aligned or not held against the table | Re-position the block and confirm it is seated before starting |
| Thickness drifts along a long block | Guide wear or thermal movement in the frame | Check guide clearance and cut a test sheet at the end of the block |
Most sheet complaints trace back to the first slice of a block, not to the machine. Cut one test sheet, measure it at both edges and the middle, and the correction costs one slice instead of a full shift of scrap.
With mixed orders, the discipline is in the paper as much as in the machine. Write the thickness, foam grade and block number on the order sheet before the block goes on the table, and check the first sheet against that number rather than against the previous run.
The machine is 8300*6200*2500 mm at 6000 kg, so the floor plan has to allow a loading route and a 2200 mm take-off route. Blocking the take-off side to save space is the fastest way to turn good sheet into creased scrap.
Check the blade at the start of each shift and the guide clearance after every blade change. On mixed orders a slightly dull blade is easy to miss at 50 mm and obvious at 1 mm, so the first thin sheet of the day is the real test of the edge.
Keep the table and fence clean. Foam dust under a block produces a thin patch in the sheet directly above it, and on a mixed order that patch can end up in a customer's comfort layer.
TDB-2200 foam slicing machine in the workshop before packing. The machine ships in an export plywood case with the head blocked and the table protected. Confirm the container plan against 8300*6200*2500 mm and 6000 kg, and check the door width at the receiving site before booking freight.
Delivery is 45 working days after downpayment, payment by T/T or L/C, minimum order one set. Spare blades, guide parts and remote commissioning support ship with the machine.
