The C818A covers a thickness range that normally needs two machines. Sheet can be cut from 0.6 mm to 170 mm on the same endless loop blade, with ±0.1 mm precision on 0.6-5 mm sheet. Cutting speed is 60-130 m/min, cutting height is 1300 mm, width is 1100-2300 mm, the main drive is 131 kW and the machine weighs 60 T on a CE certified frame.
A machine that cuts 1 mm sheet and 150 mm padding has to be stiff and controllable at both ends of the range. At the thin end the risk is compression and witness marks; at the thick end it is feed rate and blade load. The C818A handles both with the same loop blade, which means a plant can move between thin comfort sheet and thick padding without a second set-up or a second machine.
Thin sheet and thick padding on one loop blade, no machine change.
The precision is held at the thin end, where the tolerance is measured.
Feed rate holds at the thick end instead of dropping in the cut.
The range is wide, so the discipline is in the sample sheet: every change of thickness gets one measured sheet before the block runs. That is a cheaper habit than sorting good sheet from scrap afterwards.
Thin sheet and thick padding ask different things of a machine. Thin sheet needs a face that does not compress ahead of the blade and a feed that does not stall; thick padding needs power and a frame that holds the cut line over a large cross-section. A loop blade with a heavy frame answers both, because the blade stays in the material and the load goes into the structure rather than into a reciprocating mechanism.
The compromise in a single machine is speed setting. At 0.6 mm the sheet is fragile, so the pass runs slower than at 100 mm; at 170 mm the blade has more material in the cut, so the feed is set for the blade load rather than for the sheet. Setting speed from the job rather than from the maximum keeps both ends inside tolerance.
The other variable is the block face. At 170 mm a sloped face costs a thicker first sheet; at 1 mm it costs a taper across the whole sheet. Trimming the face before the block goes on is the cheapest quality control on the machine.

| Symptom | Likely cause | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Thickness drifts along the cut | Blade tension or loop stretch | Check tension and re-set the guide before the next block |
| Chatter marks on the sheet | Worn blade joint or guide play | Inspect the joint, reset guide clearance |
| Wavy sheet edge | Feed speed too high for the foam grade | Reduce speed inside the 60-130 m/min range |
| Bottom corner not cut through | Block height above the head travel | Check block height against the 1300 mm cutting height |
| Blade stalls or breaks | Foam density above 50 kg/m3 or debris in the cut | Check the foam grade and clear debris from the guide |
| Sheet width varies | Block not aligned to the blade line | Re-align the block against the fence before starting |
Loop blade faults show up early. Check the first sheet of each block at both edges and the middle, and one rejected sheet replaces half a shift of scrap.
With a wide thickness range, the machine setting is the main control. Operators should know which thicknesses run at which speed, and should cut a sample whenever the setting changes. A machine that cuts 0.6 mm and 170 mm invites a casual setting change; the sample sheet is what keeps the casual change from becoming scrap.
The machine is 60 T and cuts at up to 130 m/min, so guarding and clearance matter. Keep the blade line clear, keep the guard in place, and keep the emergency stop within reach of the take-off position.
A blade that is right for 170 mm sheet may be marginal at 1 mm sheet, so check the edge on the thin work you run, not only on the thick work. If the thin sheet starts showing a taper, the blade is the first thing to check, not the thickness setting.
Guide clearance and blade tension are the two settings that carry across the range. Record them, and re-check after each blade change so a thin order does not start from a setting that was made for thick sheet.
The machine ships in export packing with the head blocked and the frame braced. At 60 T, confirm the heavy-lift plan, the container or flat-rack booking and the access at the destination before the shipment date.
Delivery is 45 working days after downpayment, payment by T/T or L/C, minimum order one set. Spare loop blades and guide parts can ship with the machine so the first year does not depend on air freight.
