The TDA-2000 is a foam profile cutting machine that runs wave patterns up to 2000 mm wide. A profiling roller compresses the foam into the band blade, the roller turns at 0-15 r/min, cutting speed is 0-25 m/min, maximum profiling depth is 30 mm, the band blade is 9400 mm long, motor power is 9.94 kW and the machine weighs 3800 kg.
Mattress toppers and convoluted cushioning are made by compressing foam into a blade, not by carving it. The roller presses the sheet down into a wave, the blade cuts the crest, and the foam springs back to its profiled shape. Width and depth are the two numbers that decide what a machine can sell, and 2000 mm covers a full topper in one pass.
A full topper width is profiled in one pass, with no joining strips.
Wave depth covers topper and cushion grades, not just a shallow texture.
Roller speed sets how the pattern repeats along the sheet.
Depth at the edges is the first thing to check. A sheet that is thicker in the middle will come out shallow at the edges even when the roller is set correctly, and that is a sheet problem rather than a machine problem.
Profiling is not cutting a shape out of foam; it is forming one. The roller presses the sheet down into a wave, the band blade slices through the compressed crest, and when the foam relaxes the cut opens into a three-dimensional pattern. Depth and pitch are set by the roller and the blade, not by a CNC path.
That is why sheet thickness matters so much. The roller has to compress the foam by the profile depth. If the sheet is 5 mm thicker in the middle, the middle is compressed more and the wave comes out deeper there. On a 2000 mm width, small thickness variation shows up as a wave that fades at the edges.
The blade length gives the machine its stamina. A 9400 mm band has more time to cool between cuts than a short blade, so it holds an edge through a long production run and the crests stay sharp instead of becoming rounded.

| Symptom | Likely cause | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Wave depth uneven across the width | Roller pressure uneven or foam sheet thickness varies | Level the roller pressure and check sheet thickness before the run |
| Wave pattern flattened | Roller pressure too low for the foam grade | Increase roller pressure and reduce cutting speed inside 0-25 m/min |
| Torn peaks on soft foam | Cutting speed too high for the grade | Lower the cutting speed and check the blade edge |
| Pattern shifts along the sheet | Feed slip at the roller | Clean the roller, check the drive and re-feed the sheet |
| Blade cuts out of line | Blade tension or guide wear | Re-tension the blade, check guide clearance, cut a test sheet |
| Depth fades at the sheet edges | Foam sheet crowned or roller not parallel | Flatten the sheet and set the roller parallel to the table |
Wave faults almost always come from roller pressure or sheet thickness, not from the blade. Run a short test sheet and measure the depth at three points across the width before the production run.
A 2000 mm wide sheet needs room on the infeed and outfeed side. Plan the floor so the sheet can be fed straight without twisting, because a sheet fed at an angle comes out with a wave that runs off the edge.
The roller pulls the sheet in. Keep hands behind the infeed line and never reach under the roller or into the blade line while the machine is running.
The roller surface and the blade edge are the two things to check every shift. Foam dust on the roller changes the grip, the sheet slips, and the pattern shifts along the sheet without any change to the settings.
Check the blade tension and guide weekly. A slack blade on a 9400 mm band cuts a rounded crest instead of a sharp one, and the difference is easy to miss until the parts are stacked together.
The machine ships in export packing with the profiling head blocked and the roller protected. At 3800 kg and a 2000 mm working width, confirm the container plan and the receiving access before the shipment date.
