The TDP-02 is an automatic edge trimming and cross cutting machine for PU foam blocks from 1000 mm to 2000 mm wide. Thickness is set anywhere from 1 mm to 100 mm, cutting speed runs 1-20 m/min, it handles foam from 15 kg/m³ to 200 kg/m³, total motor power is 10 kW and the machine weighs 5000 kg.
Block width changes from order to order, and a machine with a fixed throat only suits one of them. The TDP-02 trims and cross cuts across a 1000-2000 mm range, so a converter can square a narrow block and a full width mattress block on the same machine without a second set-up.
Narrow and full width blocks run on one machine without a second set-up.
Thin topper sheets and thick block slices use the same trimming head.
Two operations on one table, so a block is squared and sliced in one handling.
Trim one edge, then turn the block and trim the second. Two trimmed edges give a reference for every later cut, and the cross cut is only as square as those two edges.
A foam converter rarely gets blocks in one width. A mattress block can be 2000 mm, an upholstery block often narrower, and a packaging block narrower still. A machine with a fixed throat forces the operator to either refuse the narrow work or cut it on a smaller machine.
A 1000-2000 mm range means the same table handles all of it. The side guide moves to the block, the trimming head follows, and the cross cut is made on the same reference. The saving is not only the machine cost; it is the handling, because each block is loaded once instead of moving between machines.
The density range is the second half of the same argument. Blocks from 15 kg/m³ soft PU to 200 kg/m³ firm grades run on the same settings table, with the feed rate adjusted rather than the machine changed.

| Symptom | Likely cause | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Thickness differs at the two ends of a slice | Trimming head flexing or block not square | Trim a reference edge first, then check head guide clearance |
| Torn edge on soft foam | Feed too fast for the density | Reduce feed inside 1-20 m/min and check the blade edge |
| Blade stalls on dense foam | Feed too high for 200 kg/m3 grades | Lower the feed and let the 10 kW drive recover speed |
| Block slips during the cross cut | Feed belt glazed or clamp pressure low | Clean the belt and check the clamp pressure |
| Trimmed width drifts along the block | Side guide creeping under load | Re-lock the side guide and check the rail |
| Stepped or wavy cut face | Blade tension or blade weld worn | Re-tension the blade and inspect the weld |
Most trimming faults come from the block or the feed, not the blade. Square one edge first, set the feed for the density, and measure the first slice at both ends before the production run.
A full width block is heavy, and the machine table is long. Load with a roller conveyor or a lift, keep the block against the side guide, and keep hands behind the infeed line once the feed starts.
Clear the outfeed before starting a cut. A trimmed block that has nowhere to go will jam against the stack and mark the fresh edge.
The side guide and the trimming head are the two settings that decide squareness. Check the guide lock every shift, because a guide that creeps under a heavy block produces a tapered edge that is hard to see until the block is sliced.
Check the blade edge and the feed belt weekly. A glazed belt slips on dense foam and the cut face shows it as a stepped edge.
The machine ships in export packing with the trimming head blocked and the guides protected. At 5000 kg and an overall dimension of 6424*4600*2786 mm, confirm the container plan and the receiving access before booking freight.
Delivery is 45 working days after downpayment, payment by T/T or L/C, minimum order one set. Installation guidance and spare blades ship with the machine.
