The TDP-02 cross cuts and edge trims PU foam across a density range of 15-200 kg/m³. Cutting thickness is 1-100 mm, width is 1000-2000 mm, feed speed is 1-20 m/min, motor power is 10 kW and the machine weighs 5000 kg. It is CE certified.
Soft and firm foam behave like different materials on the same blade. A 15 kg/m³ block compresses if it is fed too fast and tears at the edge; a 200 kg/m³ block loads the motor and can stall a light machine. A density range of 15-200 kg/m³ on a 10 kW drive covers both ends with one setting table.
Soft packaging foam and firm high density grades run on the same machine.
Speed is set per density instead of being fixed.
Holds feed speed through a 200 kg/m³ cut without stalling.
On soft foam the limit is tearing, and on dense foam it is motor load. Both are found by starting slow and increasing until the cut face is clean or the drive starts working hard, then backing off one step.
Density changes the physics of the cut more than thickness does. At 15 kg/m³ the foam is mostly air, the blade meets little resistance, and the risk is that the feed runs ahead of the blade and tears the cell structure at the edge. At 200 kg/m³ the blade meets real resistance and the machine has to hold feed speed against it.
That is why the feed range is 1-20 m/min rather than a single speed. The operator sets the machine to the block in front of them: fast on soft foam where the blade cuts easily, slow on dense foam where the drive is working. The 10 kW motor is sized for the dense end.
The practical result is fewer changeovers. A converter running a soft packaging block in the morning and a firm mattress core in the afternoon uses the same machine, the same blade and the same table, and changes only the feed setting.

| Symptom | Likely cause | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Thickness differs at the two ends of a slice | Trimming head flexing or block not square | Trim a reference edge first, then check head guide clearance |
| Torn edge on soft foam | Feed too fast for the density | Reduce feed inside 1-20 m/min and check the blade edge |
| Blade stalls on dense foam | Feed too high for 200 kg/m3 grades | Lower the feed and let the 10 kW drive recover speed |
| Block slips during the cross cut | Feed belt glazed or clamp pressure low | Clean the belt and check the clamp pressure |
| Trimmed width drifts along the block | Side guide creeping under load | Re-lock the side guide and check the rail |
| Stepped or wavy cut face | Blade tension or blade weld worn | Re-tension the blade and inspect the weld |
Most trimming faults come from the block or the feed, not the blade. Square one edge first, set the feed for the density, and measure the first slice at both ends before the production run.
Dense blocks are heavy and the machine pulls them through under power. Keep hands behind the infeed line, and never try to straighten a block by hand once the feed has engaged.
Soft blocks need support as much as control. A low density block that is unsupported at the outfeed will sag and the trimmed edge will follow the sag.
Dense foam wears the blade faster than soft foam. If the plant runs 200 kg/m³ grades regularly, check the blade edge more often than the standard shift check suggests, because a dull blade on dense foam shows up as a stepped cut face.
Clean the feed belt and the table between grades. Dust from a soft block on the belt reduces grip for the next dense block, and the feed slips without any change to the setting.
The machine ships in export packing with the trimming head blocked and the guides protected. At 5000 kg and 6424*4600*2786 mm overall, confirm the container plan and the receiving access before booking freight.
